Import gVCF to genomicsdb in parallel

Is it possible to incrementally update a genomicsdb update by running it in parallel across a cluster using array jobs. E.g. If i have 1500 samples to add can I add them concurrently across multiple compute nodes or does it all have to be done serially on 1 compute node?
